In seminaristischer Zusammenarbeit
Abstract
In oncology, it is more and more demonstrated that
genetic instability is a hallmark of cancer. In Anthroposophic Medicine a link between cancer and
mistletoe (Viscum album) is recognized due to their
opposed evolutionary dynamics. The relation between
the succinct statements of oncology and Anthroposophic Medicine is more evident if it is regarded that
plant cells of Viscum album have a large genome warranting a high grade of genetic stability and integrity.
In this respect, an enriched extract of the extremely
complex substances out of the cell nucleus of mistletoe may have therapeutic relevance. In seminaristic
collaboration with physicians and patients, current
progress in evolution, genetics and oncology is
worked up for a better understanding of mistletoe in
oncology.
