Abstract
The record is of a female patient with non-erosive,
seropositive rheumatoid arthritis. Conventional treatment
was contraindicated. Constitutionally the levels
of existence were only loosely connected. Astral and
I body were not intervening adequately in the ether
and physical body. Notable biographical elements were
2 months’ separation from her mother after birth, her
mother’s severe post-partum depression and no emotional
bonding with either parent. The resulting loosening
of the higher levels of existence made the patient
susceptible to various diseases in the middle human
being.
The essential therapeutic impulse was to convey
warmth, on the one hand by providing a soul space
where the patient could speak of her own needs and
find a kind and loving way of relating to herself, and
on the other hand the stimulation of warmth with
art therapies and external applications. Mistletoe was
the central form of medication.
All in all progress was good with this regimen. The
enormous power of the mental state to influence the
physical condition is evident to this day, and encountering
the soul space therefore continues to be a major
element in the successful treatment.
