Abstract
In his lecture for medical students and young doctors
of 24.04.1924 Rudolf Steiner emphasises on the one
hand the importance of the Gospel of Luke for the
basic medical attitude, and on the other hand the
importance of the Trinity in the face of the tendency
towards commercialisation and de-individualisation of
medicine. We owe the Gospel of the same name and
the Acts of the Apostles with its depiction of Pentecost
to the evangelist Luke, himself a doctor. It is therefore
considered the „Gospel of the Holy Spirit”. On the other
hand, the story of the Good Samaritan has become
formative for medical ethics. The following article explores
the question to what extent the Gospel of Luke
and the (lesser known) Acts of the Apostles are also an
essential source of inspiration for the healing impulse
in medicine today.
